Legacy of EverQuest Franchise Continues With Announcement of EverQuest and EverQuest II Expansions

Thousands of video game enthusiasts are in Las Vegas for the annual Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire where the upcoming expansions for the online role-playing games EverQuest® and EverQuest® II were just announced. EverQuest® Seeds of Destruction™ is scheduled to be available on Oct.21, and EverQuest® II The Shadow Odyssey™ is scheduled to be available on Nov.18.

As part of SOE's extensive Living Legacy program designed to entice new and past EQ and EQII players into the games and reward the existing loyal playerbase, all Fan Faire attendees will receive the software for both expansions for free, an unprecedented offering. More Details

See what's new at SOE! To kickoff the 2008 SOE Fan Faire, SOE President John Smedley will provide opening remarks to more than 1000 video game fans at the Hilton Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The second annual "Community Address" combines a live presentation with a streaming video broadcast online. Smedley will give both Fan Faire attendees and gamers worldwide the kind of inside look at SOE products usually reserved for industry insider events. More Details

More In-Game Items Granted!

As part of the many Fan Faire goodies granted to attendees, you are entitled to an in-game item for your primary registered Fan Faire game. We've added more to the list! Registrants of EverQuest Online Adventures, Star Wars Galaxies, EverQuest and EverQuest II will now receive the following in-game items for their respective game tracks:

• EverQuest Online Adventures – Seal of Razeal (one per account, no trade)
• Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game – Loot card that grants a Target Creature (available starting in beta; non-tradeable and one per account)
• Legends of Norrath™ EverQuest – Loot card that grants the Bridle of the Wrulon Mount (non-tradeable and one per account)
• Legends of Norrath EverQuest II – Loot card that grants the Avian Wrath (non-tradeable and one per account)

More Details On Beta Access

Fan Faire EverQuest and EverQuest II registered attendees will receive beta access to the new expansions!

• You will receive an email within a week following Fan Faire that will provide directions about how to register. Please ensure your email address is up to date on your account and that you respond promptly (the deadline to register is 8/25/08)!
• You will be granted access once the VIP beta access program begins for each expansion – thank you for helping us test the game!

• You will be given access to the special Fan Faire beta program August 14-19 and of course for the duration of the full beta!

• You will receive an email within a week following Fan Faire to go through the registration process.
• Your access will be granted when the beta program begins – thank you for helping us test the game!

Online Registration Now Closed

Although online registration is now closed for Fan Faire, you can still register on-site in Las Vegas starting on August 14th!

In-Game Items!

We're giving away lots of in-game items to registered Fan Faire attendees! ***

• EverQuest players will receive the Ord's Discus Dispenser and The Discus of Ord, a never-ending supply of discs for players to hurl with their friends.
• EverQuest II players will receive an Ale-Stained Cloak of Gathering, woven from memories of a fond time with friends gathered together from beyond the real of Norrath. As you will soon find out, it's not your ordinary cloak.
• Star Wars Galaxies players will receive a special in-game painting.
• Vanguard players will receive a Potion of Stature, which will allow them to shrink or grow for a limited time period.
• Players of The Matrix Online will receive a virtual pair of "Deep Blue Jeans!" This is the first time blue jeans have been added to the game!
• PlanetSide players will receive a special character buff.
